Course Length
Plan to allow an adequate amount of time for your class. CPR/AED and First Aid usually runs between four and six hours depending on the number of participants and their level of skill and experience. Frequent breaks will be taken to allow participants to remain fresh and alert. Depending on the time of day a 30 minute lunch break may be taken. We understand that time is valuable and all classes will be conducted as efficiently as possible.

Accommodations
KEMI will provide all training materials needed for the class including: breathing barriers, manikins and lungs, training aids and DVD’s, first aid practice supplies, and student handbooks used during class.

Cost and Certification Card
CPR/AED and First Aid Training is provided by KEMI exclusively to policyholders. Registration is free, however there is an administrative fee of $11.71 per individual that covers the cost of the certification cards issued to each participant. Upon successful completion of the skills testing and course exams each participant will be certified and issued a certification card. ASHI certifications are valid for two years. On the back of each student card there is an access code which will allow the attendees to download course handbooks and receive updates regarding guideline changes and re-certification reminders.
