1. Examine work area:
   • Struck-by draw rock:
     • Examine area and correct any unsafe condition.
2. Visible disconnects:
   • Electrical current:
     • Pump must be equipped with visible disconnect, insulating mat, and firefighting equipment.
     • When moving or maintaining a pump, the pump should be de-energized.
     • Ensure electrical pump cable is hung before energizing.
     • If used in/by last open crosscut, use only permissible type pump.
   • Contact with equipment:
     • Position pumps away from moving equipment.
